TV show description:
One of the most popular shows of all time, this sitcom stars real-life married couple Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz as the Ricardos.
Ricky is a Cuban American singer and bandleader and his zany and ambitious wife Lucy yearns to be part of his nightclub act, despite her obvious lack of talent. That doesn’t stop Lucy from hatching a variety of crazy schemes to get what she wants, often with the help of Fred and Ethyl Mertz (William Frawley and Vivian Vance), the Ricardos’ best friends and landlords.
In later seasons Lucy and Ricky have a son, Little Ricky (Richard Keith). The Ricardos and Mertzes eventually move to Connecticut.
The wacky adventures continued in a series of hour-long specials called The Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Show.

April 1, 1960 was the last broadcast for the cast of the show. The show, the Luci-Desi Comedy Hour, ended the 9-year run of I Love Lucy. The actors all went their own ways, never to reappear again as a cast. Frawley died in 1966, Vance 1979, Arnaz 1986 and Ball in 1989. Frawley was with My Three Sons from 1960-1965, Vance with Ball on her post-ILL series, Arnaz was pretty much out of acting excepting a handful of guest roles on shows, such as The Mothers-In-Law (1969).
