9-1-1 Faces Deadly ‘Bee-nado’ in First Teaser for Season 8 Premiere
We’re less than a month away from 9-1-1‘s Season 8 premiere (Sept. 26, 8/7c), but ABC is getting the buzz started early with a teaser that’s sure to make your skin crawl.
The 30-second teaser, released on the show’s social accounts on Tuesday, confirms that a “bee-nado” is attacking Los Angeles in the season premiere. “The average human cannot survive 500 bee stings,” the teaser warns before revealing that we’re actually going to be dealing with millions of the little guys.

Barring any future announcements, we can expect the show’s entire roster of series regulars to return for Season 8. Those names include Angela Bassett as Athena, Peter Krause as Bobby, Oliver Stark as Buck, Aisha Hinds as Hen, Kenneth Choi as Chimney, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie, Ryan Guzman as Eddie and Gavin McHugh as Christopher — although you shouldn’t expect to see that last one right away.
“I know for sure that in the first episode [of Season 8], we likely won’t see Eddie and Christopher together,” Ryan Guzman recently revealed to TVLine, following Christopher’s departure in the Season 7 finale. But it’s not like we can blame the poor kid. Who among us can say for sure how we’d react upon discovering that our dad was having an affair with our dead mom’s doppelganger?
Also on the horizon for Season 8 is an unfortunate changing of the guard. The finale revealed Gerrard to be the new captain of the 118, and while it’s a twist that absolutely zero people asked for, Krause is choosing to look at the glass half-full. “I like them butting up against each other,” Krause told TVLine. “I could see Gerrard having a real grudge against Bobby for getting all this positive attention after he took over Gerrard’s firehouse, and now we he wants it back.”

they probably are doing bees as a cheap alternative because people complained (me too I admit) about there not being enough crazy emergencies last season because I guess that Cruise ship really ate most of the budget
Maybe, but come on it‘s the season premiere. Give me something big that does not ate of most of the budget. I am actually pretty scared that it‘s going to become as bad as the blackout or blimp thing…
Or maybe i‘m just sad that it once again won‘t be a collapsed building with a firefighter being trapped. Yeah i know we already had this as well, but man i just need some real firefighter action after this lukewarm Season 7….
Lame. Bad enough bees are endangered. Give people more reason to hate them and kill them.
The rusty patched bumblebee is the only native bee in the continental United States protected under the Endangered Species Act.
Most bees are not endangered in other words.

I don’t understand why U made Buck gay after previous seasons..but I won’t b watching. The show anymore it really lost its appeal.
First off, he’s bisexual. People can love both men and women.

No. They made him bisexual to tick a box and have more LGBT stories. They caved into a well funded group that has been bombarding their site for years to get him and Eddie together. The heck with the majority who didn’t. This is the age of the “I’m different” crowd and best friends are no longer allowed.

It’s interesting bigotry toward people NOT liking a story is just peachy because the assumption of NOT liking a story makes one automatically a bigot who should just go away; it is entirely possible to point out that it’s terrible writing, weak character development, and utterly nonsensical to take Buck and hurl him into bisexual ridiculousness given what his character has been literally from episode 1 as the man ‘ho into women in every way with not a hint of attraction to men and only ended up in this stupid storyline because of queerbaiting and shipping of Buddie that was just bizarre! If people were really just homophobic bigots, they wouldn’t be fans of the first SIX SEASONS of the show! I am an oral historian and writer, and when I look at stories and character rs, I consider character development and continuity ahead of bigotry. Buck’s storyline is utterly STUPID and WEAK in every way when looking at what happens with Buck in each episode all those seasons until the writers suddenly treat it like a hacky choose-your-own-adventure book to let people pick whether queerbaiting and Buddie shipping outside the show should lead to ejecting everything in development for six seasons. Do they really want to lose audience over gimmicks?!? I guess you think so…
Why is Buck being bisexual a deal breaker? He is still the same character just exploring another part of his identity. Looks like Buck and Tommy are a big hit so I don’t think the show cares if they lose a few bigots.
No, he’s NOT the same character, and that’s the whole problem!!! If people were just bigoted, 9-1-1 wouldn’t be the show we were watching in the first place, now, would it?!? Interacial romance with Bobby and Athena–LOVED it, we did! That came after her first husband was revealed to be gay…and stayed part of the show…and we didn’t all flee hollering “gay men…oh, no!” as the ratings plummeted. Henrietta’s lesbian life with its complications from her bisexual girlfriend and the child she adopts from her that was really messy was never a problem. Yet then they suddenly want to paint audience members as bigots who should go away if they point out that the character made a stereotypical man ‘ho sex bomb firefighter into the ladies from episode 1–literally–with no whiff whatsoever of the CHARACTER having any interest in men romantically season after season after season should NOT suddenly just be made gay or bisexually into dudes after 6 seasons because some people in the LGBTQ+ community made queerbaiting part of the equation, which isn’t about good writing and exploring character development that makes sense at all! It wasn’t as bad as Supernatural, when knowing the actors weren’t really brothers made people do weird shipping despite them being brothers on screen in their characters, but it’s close! That’s not good character exploration within a show’s storylines; it’s pandering to a minority in breaking the 4th wall!

Hope this is the season where Buddie finally happens, it’s been seven years of storytelling.
“But what about Buck’s boyfriend” you mean the literal definition of a plot device, much like every other love interest he’s nothing special and he’s going bye bye as soon as his arc is done.
Shoot even Tim and Oliver have implied them breaking up and then Tommy staying a part of Buck’s life as his friend and a mentor of sorts for him.
Which would definitely help when it comes to the Buck and Eddie of it all.
When was a breakup implied by Oliver and Tim. Do you have a source? I love Buck and Tommy together so I hope that doesn’t happen. Buck and Eddie are great as friends so I hope the show doesn’t ruin that relationship to appease the Buddie shippers. Plus Ryan seems opposed to Eddie being Queer so I doubt we will see that happen.

I left the show a few seasons ago. It’s too stupid for the calls they go on. The crew’s stories about family are good, but the calls they respond to are too bizarre to give it a good rating. It’s corny, and I’m surprised people have stayed into the show this long.
It’s has been the highest rating scripted show on Fox for years, and last season was the highest rating scripted show on ABC (it was their first season on ABC). Clearly you’re not watching didn’t have any impact on its performance.

9-1-1 Season 7 had the highest rating in ABC for scripted show in that season. Clearly the majority of viewers do not share your sentiment. And speaking about sin, Bobby and Athena had slept together BEFORE THEY GOT MARRIED. So did Maddie and Chimney, Eddie and Marisol, Buck and his many girlfriends. Why didn’t you complain about those straight couples? By cherry-picking about which sin to complain, you showed us that you don’t actually care about sin. You are just a homophobic pretending to be religious.
They didn’t make Buck GAY, they made him BiSEXUAL! Also, here’s a news flash.. every show that you watch has SIN so you might as well just join a convent!

My guess is Gerard would only be there in 3 to 6 episodes. If he stays longer, a lot of fans would be infuriated and stop watching temporarily, waiting for him to be gone.
Then watch and wait for him to get his just desserts, as he surely will.

Gerrard, coming back against Hen and Chimney, should be a bump feast, old ways are hard to change! Buck’s new attraction to Tommy should cause a big stir with the new captain, Bobby’s reaction was shear surprise at Gerrard!!
Eddie and Christopher well their relationship will survive, but Christopher is growing up right before our eyes, and now teenage drama, feelings from him, Eddie’s in for a ride!! Love the story, always ❤️ COULD Chimney and Maddie have another baby, Hen and Karen get the little girl back, and have the politician fired for misused of office?? Bee’s 🐝, I don’t get this start of a new season, but it’s bound to be exceptional as usual!!!

I love this show, cannot wait till it comes back. Best show ever, so glad ABC took it over! Hurry 9/26 bring back one of my favorites!!
I’m really curious about the next season. Hopefully they will have more time and will put more care into the stories than with S7. Which especially for the second half was all over the place and rushed.
And so glad to hear all the main cast is back. We need Chris back with Eddie and Buck where he belongs. But it will be interesting to see Eddie discovering who he is beyond being a dad. And how his and Buck’s relationship will progress without Chris as a buffer. (We’re breaking the glass closet of Eddie’s)
I really hope we will get some more sweet Buck and Bobby scenes. And Buck with Hen. Eddie and Maddie. Eddie and Karen. Maddie and Josh. And more Ravi in general. And that Mara is back with her family as soon as possible.
It is a great show! I only wish Hen and ger wife could get another little girl like Mia or they could be pregnant. I do hope Christopher comes back. But they need a new love interest for Eddie. Not his wife look-a-like. Great show! I love it!

I held off on watching the show for a long time, because I thought it was all about the ridiculous emergency calls. Then I started catching episodes in syndication and found the characters’ drama (and trauma) very compelling. The disasters often test my suspension of disbelief, but the actors commit so well that I’m willing to go along for the ride. Even if I roll my eyes over the resolution of a particular situation, those moments are always fleeting. What’s constant are the characters – their development and relationships. I’m so glad that the core cast are back for another season and I’m looking forward to seeing where things go next. There are certainly particular relationships that I’m more invested in and anticipating the continuation of more acutely. But in general, if I have to cringe through an episode or two of killer bees to keep tabs on the firefam, I’m down with it!

I hope they let Bobby come back to the 118. I sure didn’t like that old man the 1st time he was there. This is my favorite show. I could watch 911 everyday. I always am watching the reruns. Love it. Best show ever
I can’t wait to see the premiere of 911 season 8. I also cant wait to see how buck’s character is going to evolve. Maybe with Eddie? That would be great path for to go down

The show is awesome! It has a bit of everything & I’m VERY HAPPY to hear that we get to watch another season! I researched every single season because there wasn’t much else to watch & I enjoyed watching it the second time too !!! Fan forever ♾️
