What is the release date for Season 4?
You’re in for a bit of a wait for the next Bridgerton love story. New episodes won’t arrive until 2026, according to showrunner Jess Brownell.
“We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited and then they have to be dubbed into every language,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace. We’re trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range.”
Meanwhile traditional TV has the capacity to dish out 24 episodes every year.
A) I can’t think of a network show that has ever sustained 20+ yearly episodes of anything as logistically complex as Bridgerton.
B) These days, it’s hard to hold up Network TV as a successful business model that is worth trying to emulate.
While that’s true, keep in mind they had already been renewed for season 4 before season 3 even aired. Filming for S3 wrapped in March 2023. It seems like they were just twiddling their thumbs until now, when the info we got after S3 was done airing was “we haven’t finished the script yet”. Yes, writers strike blah blah, that would still be roughly a year where they had time to write/go into pre production. And (even though it doesn’t seem that way anymore with all the liberties they are taking) they don’t have to come up with plot from scratch.
So… 2026 seems like a very lazy excuse. End of 2025 for new episodes isn’t too much to ask for imo…

I still can’t believe they need another two years for the next season. Filming for S3 wrapped up in March 2023. Have they twiddled their thumps since then? They knew they were renewed already. Pre production could have been finished already by now…
There was a 5 month writers’ strike…
Lol, that strike didn’t last that long, there still was time from April to September and then from January till June. That’s almost a year already. And writing the series is mir exactly rocket science, since technically the have source material.
The writers’ strike was May 2 – September 27 so 4 months and 25 days long if you want to be that specific. The SAG-AFTRA strike was July 14 – November 9, and I believe Bridgerton is a SAG production so they were effectively shut down until at least November.
That still is about 10 months for pre production, and they are trying to tell me they didn’t manage to finish writing since then? And you believe that? Bridgerton is not an ultra complex story with massive plot twists and storylines that have to be layed out seasons in adavance. It’s a book adaptation that already has the plot layed out, even though they are straying away from it now.
I wish you could bring back a little more information about Dalphe and the Duke since they were the ones that captivated everyone and started the Bridgeton craze.

I really like Bridgerton nd the characters. I just wish that Portia would find a love that she can not have like Penelope until the time is right. She really needs to stop being obsessed with money and power and just be a decent person, May not happen but it is a good thought. Cressida Cowper needs to just stay away she is pure evil. Over all The Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury are still good friends. Violet is on her way to a good man and Elouise needs to find a real love match too. I am reading the books and they are really good. I like the writing and wish I could do as well.
