As production on Yellowstone’s biggest season yet continues, its cast, appropriately enough, keeps growing, too. Paramount Network announced on Friday that Wendy Moniz and Mo Brings Plenty, who’ve recurred since Season 1 as, respectively, Governor Lynelle Perry and Rainwater’s right-hand man Mo, have been promoted to series-regular status for Season 5.
But that’s just the tip of the bull’s horn casting-wise. In addition, the network revealed that Josh Lucas, Kylie Rogers and Kyle Red Silverstein will be reprising their roles of the younger versions of John, Beth and Rip. What’s more Kai Caster (American Horror Story: Apocalypse) has been tapped to play a young cowboy named Rowdy, Lainey Wilson, a musician named Abby, Dawn Oliveri (1883’s Claire), a corporate shark named Sarah Atwood, and Lilli Kay (Your Honor), Clara Brewer, a new assistant to one of the Duttons. For her sake, we hope it ain’t Beth!

Speaking of whom, unlike many a past foe of the Duttons’, Jacki Weaver will be back for a second season as Caroline Warner, which can only be bad terrible godawful news for Beth (Dream Emmy nominee Kelly Reilly). You’ll recall that in Season 4’s finale, the power monger swore vengeance on John’s daughter for the shenanigans that brought to national attention Market Equities’ plans to turn Montana into a high-end vacation hot spot.
As previously reported, Jennifer Landon and Kathryn Kelly, AKA Teeter and Emily, have been promoted to series regulars ahead of the 14-episode Season 5, which will be split in two parts, the first of which bows in November.
Refresh your memory as to the five burning questions we need answered in the season to come in the gallery above. Then hit the comments with your hopes/fears for Season 5.
Looking forward to the next season
All hell is going to break loose at Yellowstone or else, very few will be held accountable for their actions. I know a lot of people don’t like Monica but I really hope they don’t break up she and Kayce. As for Beth, well she’s a survivor.
.
Has anyone seen a new picture of Carter? He obviously had a massive growth spurt and doesn’t even look like the same person.
.
As long as John, Rip and Kelly are happy or at least all on the same page, then I’m happy. Really excited for Season 5!😁
Yes! Mo is one of my favorite characters.
Monica is one of the very best characters on the show. It would be a real loss to Yellowstone if she were gone.
My favorite is Rip, followed by Beth. But I gotta admit, I LOVE Teeter. She was a hoot and tough as nails.
Hope we get more series in uk after the first two, we are hooked!!!!!
Am beyond loking forward to Season 5, Nov too far away! Everyone in this series deserves Awards on top of awards! Whoever put this cast together is or are Prime in their fields!#1 is Beth, who I know was recording that mean lady’s comments about raping beautiful Montana, is not only gonna save it, but enhance it as well. Beth will melt hearts when embracing saddened Carter whom she and Rip will legally adopt!!(i’ll be on edge of seat cheering and crying with happiness.) John’s acceptance of him is a strong love growing awesome. Rip may be a tough one but most loveable Teddy Bear…and super proud daddy of Carter, oh yeah!! Somewhere down the trail, Carter may be “the” one to save a whole lot of them from something really bad, win their love and respect even more. He will fill Beth’s childless life with the son of her dreams, proudly so! All those in the bunkhouse just be so natural, love that guy’s singin’ only be more happier tunes please. Jamie, woo! You have such a tough role and those looks, Amazing! Your acting is just indescribable! Perhaps an unexpected hero to help save your family, the native indians, and Monanta the beautiful! No forget those fancy horse riding cowboys, showing off such magnificent horses!!! So beautiful talented trained, stoppin’ on a dime!
Mo and Rainwater need need a bit more interaction with John’s family, they deserve it! What a cast and crew, only wish I could help with somma’ the writing for future. I gotta save to buy the first 4 of the best series…knowing no real end, only prideful success!! Love you all!!
