Following the success of The Wedding Veil movies, Hallmark Media is turning its attention to the fellas, ordering the rom-com trilogy The Groomsmen, it was announced during the network’s Television Critics Association press tour presentation on Thursday.
Told from the guys’ point of view, The Groomsmen stars frequent Hallmark leading men Jonathan Bennett (The Christmas House movies, Mean Girls), Tyler Hynes (Three Wise Men and a Baby) and B.J. Britt (The Holiday Stocking, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
The trilogy — titled The Groomsmen First Look, The Groomsmen Second Chances and The Groomsmen Last Dance — “takes viewers on the journey of a lifetime as three best friends come together
to celebrate their wedding days in the breathtaking destinations of Greece, Italy and Bulgaria,” reads the official description. “As they navigate complex relationships with friends, love interests and family members, this movie trilogy is filled with heart, humor and charm. Pete (Britt), a kind-hearted pediatrician with a penchant for planning; Danny (Bennett), a baseball coach with a heart of gold; and Jackson (Hynes), a stylish and charming social media agent, lean on each other and draw strength from the bonds they share from the special brotherhood built over the years.”

Hallmark vets Bennett and Hynes (who also stars in the upcoming Christmas movies Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story and Three Wiser Men and a Boy) will serve as executive producers on the project, which will debut this fall on the streaming service Hallmark+.
Hallmark’s first foray into a rom-com trilogy, 2022’s The Wedding Veil series, starred fan faves Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser and Alison Sweeney as “three longtime college friends who discover a mysterious, antique veil fabled to unite its bearer with her true love.” A second set of three new movies was released in January 2023 on Hallmark Channel, with all three ladies reprising their roles.

It looks interesting until you see that you have to pay extra for it. That is ridiculous!
Hearthrob Bennett, I’m there.
Title of article should say Hallmark + sets the Groomsmen…. not Hallmark. Why hide that you are talking about programing on a pay streaming service and not a cable channel.
So proud. I love him
Love this idea of this movie! It has a different perspective. And of course dreamy Tyler Hynes. How bad can it be?
Yes, looking forward to Seeing the groomsmen. Looks like it’s going to be a great movie Can’t wait. Especially seeing Tyler Hynes. I believe he is the single one. Sorry to the other two men. Also looking forward to seeing you guys as well
