Warning: This post contains spoilers from Tuesday’s episode of FBI, titled “Uncovered.” Read at your own risk!
Long-term romances don’t fare well on FBI, so it comes as no surprise that another relationship has crashed and burned in the CBS procedural. This time, it’s Special Agent Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) and Special Agent Nestor Vertiz (Josh Segarra) who saw their budding romance come to a bittersweet end.
The episode, titled “Uncovered,” found Maggie ending their relationship — which began while they were working together undercover — after the headstrong agent overstepped his boundaries and again neglected to relay some every important information. Remember that time Maggie found out he had two kids by scrolling through his phone? Nestor outdid himself this week when he asked Maggie to move in with him, telling her that he’d begun searching for apartments for them to live in together despite hitting numerous roadblocks in their relationship thus far.
Maggie, who was completely thrown off by this proposal, asked for some time to think it through. Nestor dug a deeper hole for himself by making reckless decisions throughout the hour that forced Maggie to question his character. The last straw came when Nestor revealed that he’d already purchased the apartment without Maggie ever seeing it, causing the latter to break things off for good.
We’re pretty sure OA (Zeeko Zaki), who often clashed with Nestor this season, will be the first one celebrating the breakup. Nestor, a lead hostage negotiator in charge of the Gang Unit, was called in to work several of Maggie and OA’s cases and his aggressive approach to the job rubbed OA the wrong way. Though OA tried to like Nestor for Maggie’s sake, he couldn’t get past their work-related issues and the many confrontations that resulted from Nestor’s abrasive attitude.
How do you feel about Maggie and Nestor’s relationship ending the way it did? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
Thank goodness….Really didn’t like Nestor!
Agreed. He lasted 3 episodes too long for me.
The word ‘douche’ comes to mind.
Love Josh Segarra as an actor/singer, hated the character! Three (with OA) was definitely a crowd.
Happy he is gone. Didn’t like him and didn’t like the way Maggie acted around him… like a school girl.
like maggie, don’t like nestor….
glad it’s over….
Do not like Nestor with Maggie at all.
Yeah, Nestor didn’t only rub OA the wrong way. I have felt this year both Nestor and Ebonee Noel leaving was really diminishing my love affair with this show. I don’t think for a minute that level-headed Maggie would fall for Nestor. And so I’m wondering if he’s going to become a stalker as the season progresses, or something dysfunctional like that. There has to be some other dramatic reason behind why he was added to the cast.
We think he’ll be a stalker too! Really miss Ebonee as well.
I wished they had written her character happily married w/ a couple of kids so we don’t have to go through this Maggie and her many suitors series.
This!
We HATED Maggie & Neztor’s “relationship “! They had no chemistry together. Josh was not properly cast in that role. Ugh
i really didnt like him at all hes shifty didnt trust him as he lied and hid stuff should have got rid of him earlier
Maggie did the right thing with Nestor. He has control issues. Why can’t OA and Maggie get together?
I love that idea! Would be cool. Hope maggie and OA acctually start dating
Nestor was way TOO controlling. Maggie is an independent woman.
Maggie and OA needs to get together please!!
No! Absolutely not! No way!
Please, no getting together of OA and Maggie.
Totally agree! No!
I agree. We don’t need that.
Totally agree. Love Maggie and OA
Didn’t like him at all…..
I miss Kristen
Smarmy, and slimey are two words that come to mind. Didn’t like him here, didn’t like him on Chicago PD.
I absolutely despised this character. Glad to see him out of Maggie’s life.
He came from PD and I really tried getting into his character but he just kept pushing the other way! I felt sorry for Voight as he really needed someone in his life! I was really thrown to see him on FBI , again tried getting into his character but again he just too much ! I was hoping for maybe a relationship but I always like OA and Maggie together!
I liked it, if you are partners you are in everything even to search and found a place to live together. Nestor seems to hide always something towards Maggie. To end my comments, I didn’t liked that person, he always had to be right in everything.
I Love Josh Segarra as an actor! He was great in “Sirens” and “Trainwreck” but he was moving too fast with Maggie and showing up late to meet for breakfast because he was looking at an apartment for “them” without even discussing it with her? Red flag! This isn’t the 1950’s when women had no say, and would be like “I like whatever you like honey! 🤦🏼♀️
Never liked him. I’m glad to see him go. Pushy men are a turn off and soooo glad Maggie didn’t drag this out. Besides OA didn;t like him.
I’m glad they broke up! Nestor came off as too “slimey” to me. Especially when he neglected to tell her he had two kids in PR!
I never liked him.
I think it was the right thing to do was to walk away. if he was doing things behind her back, that’s a RED flag.
I think Maggie made the right decision. She’s too strong a person to be railroaded like that.
Gosh. He made an assumption based on how he felt about Maggie, after a seriously involved six months, he didn’t involve her finances or handcuff her to the radiator. It could have been a teachable moment in their relationship, the writers, once again, overplayed their me too agenda!
LOL “me too” agenda? What a joke. You clearly don’t know anything about #MeToo. What he did was disrespectful and no good man would steamroll over any person the way he did.
I am sad their relationship is ending but whatever you don’t don’t put her and OA together I like their brother sister like relationship.
Concordo
I loved them together!
Também queria que continuase. Nem pensar ela e OA juntos. Não combinam, não tem química nenhuma. Só como companheiros do trabalho.
Going against the grain here but Nestor was awesome sure a few stumbles here an there and the dynamic with OA was a bit much but personally I don’t like OA’s holier then thou self righteous attitude and has shown plenty of recklessness in this series all the ideas are great as long as they’re his or he agrees with them.
