The Social and Behaviour Change Team of UNICEF Tajikistan organized a two-day validation and capacity-building workshop on Social Listening and Feedback for immunization of relevant stakeholders. The system will support the collection, analysis, and action of rumors, concerns, and queries of the population related to immunization, ultimately contributing to the increasing uptake of immunization in Tajikistan. UNICEF's Social and Behaviour Change approach focuses on using communication strategies to influence positive social and behavioral changes, empowering communities to adopt healthier practices and make informed decisions that improve the well-being of children and families.

👨🏫 UNICEF Tajikistan organized a capacity-building training for staff of the GBAO Centers for Additional Education, aimed at deepening their understanding and enhancing essential skills to sustain the project’s impact. During the four-day training, participants were introduced to the concept of Innovation Labs and engaged with programs such as #UpShift, #Adolescent #Kit for Innovation and Expression, and #Information #Communication and #Technology. The sessions focused on critical thinking, self-awareness, creativity, and digital literacy—key components for the effective operation of the Centers. Supported by the European Union for the past four years, the Adolescent Innovation Lab project has successfully integrated transformative educational approaches. The training highlighted the practical application of newly acquired skills, guiding staff in utilizing #ICT tools and developing mentorship strategies to uphold high educational standards and actively contribute to community advancement.

🎉 The Republic of Tajikistan prohibits all corporal punishment of children! We congratulate the Republic of Tajikistan for making significant progress in child protection by achieving the full prohibition of corporal punishment of children! This milestone was reached with the enactment of The Law of The Republic of Tajikistan on Responsibility for Child Education and Upbringing 2024, which replaces the former Law on Parents' Responsibilities in Child Upbringing (2011). The new law was adopted on June 20, 2024, and became effective immediately, marking a crucial step forward in safeguarding children's rights and well-being. With this law reform, Tajikistan becomes the 67th state worldwide to realise children’s rights to protection from all violent punishment! UNICEF Tajikistan was alongside the Government of Tajikistan during this important process and it's rewarding to see the results of our work! We concluded our Digital Eco-camp, a dynamic gathering of young people passionate about climate change and eager to take an active role in protecting our planet.🌏 Throughout the event, the young participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions on critical environmental issues and participated in a hands-on workshop focused on leveraging technology to promote environmental awareness and activism. 📱💡 They learned how modern tools can be harnessed as powerful instruments in the fight for a sustainable future. This camp-inspired our youth to become more informed about environmental challenges and empowered them with the skills to drive meaningful change in their communities. Special thanks go to our intern, Shodkom Mannonov, our WASH Specialist Muminakhon Abdulvohidzoda, and Aziz Gafarov, the multimedia production expert for creating an amazing atmosphere at the event.
