US presidential elections

The upcoming 60th presidential election in the United States will determine who becomes the 47th president and 50th vice-president, positions of significant global influence. Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have conducted extensive campaign activities. The contenders and their backers assert this election's critical importance, suggesting that democratic values and American traditions hang in the balance. The campaigns have attracted unprecedented financial resources for advertising and grassroots operations. The electoral process includes contests for all 435 House of Representatives positions and 34 Senate seats, which will constitute the 119th Congress. Additionally, elections will determine thirteen state and territorial governors, alongside various state and local positions. Voters across 41 states will evaluate 159 different ballot measures. Abortion-related proposals appear on ballots in ten states, including Arizona, Colorado and Florida. Additionally, Florida, North Dakota and South Dakota voters will consider proposals regarding marijuana legalisation.
