Apple iPhone 16 series price leak online: This is how much it may cost

Apple is all set to host “It’s Glowtime’ event next week. The Apple event will start at 10:30pm (IST) on September 9, 2024. The iPhone maker is holding the event at Apple Park in California. Apple is expected to unveil its next-generation iPhone lineup – iPhone 16 series at the event which may include four phones – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.Along with iPhones, Apple may also launch new AirPods, Apple Watch 10, Apple Watch Ultra (third-generation) and Apple Watch SE3.
The rumour mill has been churning rumours around the upcoming iPhones. In a latest, alleged price of the Apple iPhone 16 series phones have leaked online via Apple Hub.

According to the report, the iPhone 16 may carry a price tag of $799 (Rs 66,300 approx), while the iPhone 16 Plus model is tipped to come with a starting price of $899 (Rs 74,600 approx).
The Pro models – iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, are said to have a starting price of $1,099 (Rs 91,200 approx) and iPhone 16 Pro Max – $1,199 (Rs 99,500 approx).

It must be noted here that as per these alleged prices, iPhone 16 series may carry the same price tag as the last year iPhone 15 series.

Apple is rumorued to bring back the vertically-aligned camera modules with the iPhone 16 series. The iPhone 15 series features a horizontally-aligned camera setup. The Cupertino-based company is also expected to drop traditional physical buttons with capacitive, touch-sensitive buttons that simulate the feel of pressing a real button. In addition, the Action Button present on iPhone 15 Pro models is said to come with the standard models of iPhone 16.

The iPhone 16 series is also rumoured to feature bigger screen displays for the Pro models. Apple iPhone 16 and 16 Plus may retain the display size of 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch, but could see a jump in the refresh rate. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, are tipped to come with a bigger screen size of 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch.
On the camera front, Apple may bring the tetraprism lens, previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, to iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, says analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The tetraprism lens on new iPhones is tipped to offer a 5x zoom capability.
iPhone 16 series software
On the software front, the 2024 iPhones will run on iOS 18 operating system that was announced in June this year. The standard iPhone models - iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are likely to be powered by A18 Bionic chipset. While the Pro models - iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are tipped to come equipped with A18 Pro processor.
