Tamannaah explained that when Amar Kaushik approached her with the song, emphasizing its crucial role in the storyline, she instinctively felt it was an opportunity she couldn't pass up. His assurance convinced her that it was the right move, leading her to take on the project.
In the interview, Tamannaah shared that she’s always eager to take on shorter roles if they come at pivotal moments in the story. Reflecting on her career, she mentioned a phase where she was often typecast as the girl-next-door, prompting her to seek out unexpected roles. For her, it was never about the length of the part but about leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Music composers Sachin-Jigar in an interview with ETimes shared that the song 'Aaj Ki Raat' is a ghazal at its core and they decided to go that way because of Tamannaah's characeter in the film.

Stree (2018) featured Nora Fatehi's electrifying dance number "Kamariya," which quickly became a chart-topping hit. Fast forward to Stree 2, Tamannaah mirrored that success with "Aaj Ki Raat," amassing over 200 million views on YouTube. Tamannaah's recent appearance was in Vedaa, which hit theaters around the same time as Stree 2. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa featured John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh in the lead roles, adding another notable project to her diverse filmography. At the moment, she's beautifully balancing out her projects from the south, along with the Hindi ones and making quite an impact in both!
