Martin Magidi

Martin Magidi is a researcher at the African Centre for Cities, University of Cape Town. His research is centred on urbanization and urban development in Africa, focusing on urban informality, encompassing housing, planning, livelihoods, upskilling, SMEs/businesses, environmental and developmental aspects, and urban governance. He obtained a PhD from the School of Built Environment and Development Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
