Lynda Hutchinson

Dr. Hutchinson is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department of Psychology at King’s at Western University. Dr. Hutchinson’s holds a Ph.D. in Human Development, Learning, and Culture from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Hutchinson’s research employs mixed method approaches to study children’s self-regulation for learning at home and at school, and how parenting and teaching practices, respectively, can provide opportunities and support for it. Dr. Hutchinson has published key findings from her dissertation documenting the development and validation of the Self-Regulation in School Inventory, a reliable and psychometrically sound measure of three aspects children’s self-regulation for learning.
