PhD Candidate in the School of Archaeology, University of Oxford

Lev Cosijns is a PhD candidate in Archaeological Science at the School of Archaeology at the University of Oxford. She uses archaeological methods to study the rise and decline of civilisations and cultures, especially during periods of transition.

Her PhD thesis investigates Bronze Age society through diet and mobility in the Intermediate and Middle Bronze Age Southern Levant (modern-day Israel). She is also researching, and have written multiple publications, on the processes that brought about the collapse of the eastern Roman Empire.
