Andrew Petersen is a Member of the Institute for Archaeologists and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He has written and edited several books on Islamic Archaeology and Architecture as well as many articles and chapters on different aspects of the heritage of the Middle East. His most recent book is a study of the archaeology and history of the city of Ramla in Palestine published by Archaeopress. He has also carried extensive research and fieldwork in the region most recently carrying out excavations in the Old City of Mosul as part of the Mosul Mosaic Project. He is currently Associate Research Professor at the University of Bradford.
