Supporting communities worldwide threatened by climate change by building environmental/economic/social resiliency.
เกี่ยวกับเรา
ISC is an international, non-profit organization that works to support communities by creating, implementing, and scaling equitable climate change solutions for communities at the frontline of the global climate crisis. Our unique, bottom-up approach ensures solutions emerge from within communities, rather than being imposed from the outside. By sharing international best practices and experiences, providing technical expertise and training, and building the capacity of local organizations, we support innovative solutions and sustainable change. We address the root causes of climate change impacts by building community knowledge and skills, strengthening governance, and diversifying the field of sustainability professionals. Our approach incorporates capacity building, technical assistance delivery, knowledge products, climate change action planning, and peer learning.

Hurricanes don’t hit all communities the same way, and some communities face greater challenges with these massive storms. One example is evacuation—while it may *seem* like the easiest way to avoid death and injury from catastrophic storms, not everyone has the same ability to evacuate. Sadly, this hurricane season is just one example of the way that climate change is harming communities. Our hearts go out to those affected by climate disasters like Helene and Milton. #climatechange #hurricaneseason #severeweather

While in El Paso, Texas for our 2024 Partnership for Resilient Communities convening, we were able to visit our partner, La Mujer Obrera. We are so thankful for them taking the time to share their community with us! Members of the cohort visited Tierra es Vida—the organization's community farm—and learned about the one acre plot of land where the LMO team is reclaiming ancestral food growing practices. Membership of the cohort also got to try their hand at making fresh tortillas! #climatechange #communities #resilience #Texas #communityfarming #food

Hello, #Texas! We are so excited to kick off our 2024 convening for our Partnership for Resilient Communities (PRC) project in El Paso! This annual event brings PRC partners, climate leaders of color, and community-based organizations together to address climate issues affecting communities across the U.S. Communities of color and low-income neighborhoods are disproportionately affected by climate change impacts, and our PRC project works to increase the resilience of these communities. #climatechange #communities #resilience
