Seize this unique, no-budget volunteer opportunity to experience TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 up-close and personal. By volunteering, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the seamless event that savvy startup enthusiasts have come to anticipate every year. Plus, you’ll earn a free General Admission pass for all three conference days — October 28 – 30.

FAQs

  1. Be able to complete a minimum of 10 hours of volunteer time during Disrupt.

2. Attend an orientation in person on Sunday, Oct 27th afternoon. This is mandatory.

3. Be of age 18 or older to apply.

3. Local San Francisco or Bay Area residents are preferred but not required.

Volunteer schedule varies daily. Once your application has been accepted, you will be directed to a site to pick your schedule based on availability.

Volunteers help with plenty of fun tasks, including – but not limited to – the following:

  • Registration check-in
  • Line or traffic control 
  • Directional/customer support
  • Expo set up support
  • General event set up

Applications are reviewed on a weekly basis, and we will begin to notify approved applicants starting the week of Aug 26th. Due to large volume of applications we receive, we will only be able to notify those that are accepted.

This is a volunteer opportunity. TechCrunch will not reimburse for any expenses, including travel incurred by volunteers. You will, however, gain invaluable experience by being a part of our amazing volunteer team.

You will pick up a super cool volunteer t-shirt at the orientation. For the bottom, a pair of dark jeans or dark color pants and comfortable shoes that offer good support for walking and standing. For those who have signed up for any shifts at offsite receptions, we recommend you bring a light jacket as it’ll be outside. 

Yes, training will take place during the orientation as well as at the start of your volunteer shift.

We will provide snacks and water in the volunteer lounge. There are also concession stands in the venue as well as plenty of food options near the Moscone Center.
