Shankar Chandran

Shankar Chandran is a partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures, an over $550M early-stage venture capital fund dedicated to deep-tech investments focused on data & AI across North America, Europe, and Israel. Shankar is driven to solving the world’s toughest technology and business problems. His broad investments span Data Infrastructure & Cloud, AI, robotics, digital health, Industry 4.0, and device-level solutions. His 19-year venture capital record includes serving alongside Francis Ho as Co-Head of Samsung Catalyst Fund. He was previously a partner at Panorama Capital and JP Morgan Partners and holds eight patents as the primary inventor. Early in his career, Shankar was an engineer at Applied Materials and attended Indian Institute of Technology, IT-BHU (B.Tech.), Arizona State University (M.S) and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (MBA).
