సుబ్బయ్య చెట్టియార్ (జననం: ఫిబ్రవరి 2, 1939) ఒక భారతీయ పారిశ్రామికవేత్త, మురుగప్ప కుటుంబానికి అధిపతి, మురుగప్ప గ్రూప్ మాజీ ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ చైర్మన్. 2012 లో, అతను భారతదేశం మూడవ అత్యున్నత పౌర పురస్కారం పద్మ భూషణ్ అందుకున్నాడు.[1][2][3] [4]
ప్రారంభ జీవితం
[మార్చు]ఇతడు తమిళనాడులోని పల్లత్తూరులో జన్మించాడు. తరువాత అతను బర్మింగ్ హామ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో రెండు సంవత్సరాలు ఇంజనీరింగ్ చదివాడు (కాని గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ కాలేదు), ఆస్టన్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం నుండి ఇండస్ట్రియల్ అడ్మినిస్ట్రేషన్ లో డిప్లొమా పొందాడు. హార్వర్డ్ బిజినెస్ స్కూల్లో చదువుకున్నారు. 2011 లో బర్మింగ్హామ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ఆయనకు గౌరవ డియునివ్ ప్రదానం చేసింది. 2008 నుండి 2013 వరకు నేషనల్ స్కిల్ డెవలప్మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ చైర్మన్ గా పనిచేశాడు.
