[Background of Recruitment] The supply chain manager is responsible for overseeing the material control process within and across plants. This includes ensuring schedules of material availability and operational efficiency. The role involves managing a team, coordinating with various departments such as production, planner, and logistics, and optimizing the use of resources to meet the company’s strategic goals. [Job Description] Material Management: - Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure materials are available for production and meet inventory targets. Work closely with procurement to ensure timely sourcing of materials, negotiate terms with suppliers, and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock. Process Optimization: - Continuously analyze and improve production and material control processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Implement best - practices in lean manufacturing, just-in-time (JIT) production, and inventory management. Risk Management: - Identify and mitigate risks in the production and material supply chain, including potential bottlenecks, material shortages, and demand fluctuations. [Requirements] Experience: - At least 10 years of experience in material control or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role. - Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in computing industries.
