Analyze the key signature of a range of chords in Logic Pro for iPad
Logic Pro can analyze a series of selected chords—either on the Chord track or on a Session Player region—to determine the key signature, and then add the determined key signature to the Signature track as a key signature change.
In Logic Pro, select a series of chords on the Chord track. The selected chords can be individual chords, grouped chords, or a mixture of both, but they must be contiguous.
Tap one of the selected chords, then tap Analyze Key Signature.
Logic Pro analyzes the selected chords to determine the key signature, and then it adds the resulting key signature to the Signature track as a key signature change.
If no key signature change exists in the project before the last chord in the chord group, the initial key signature changes to the result. If a key signature change does exist, a key signature change event is added at the start position of the chord group.
In Logic Pro, tap the Session Player region to select it.
Do one of the following:
Tap the region again, then tap Chords > Analyze Key Signature.
Tap the Editors button to open the Session Player Editor, tap the Chord Mode button , tap the upper part of the region in the editor, then tap Analyze Key Signature.
Logic Pro analyzes the chords on the region to determine the key signature, and then adds the resulting key signature to the Signature track as a key signature change.
If no key signature change exists in the project before the last chord on the region, the initial key signature changes to the result. If a key signature change does exist, a key signature change event is added at the start position of the region.
