It’s time for Tokyo Revengers to enter to party at SHJ.
And I have a feeling they’re going to be making a BIG entrance into our Anime Workouts Database.
Obviously to start us off we’re going to be bringing in Manjiro Sano AKA Mikey right off the bat.
Considering Tokyo Revengers, especially Mikey, has been requested so many times, I’m even fast tracking our Tokyo Revengers Inspired Workout Database so it’s ready for you guys right off the bat as we continue adding to it.
Once we get a few workouts here I’ll even fast track our Workout Placement Quiz for them as well!
Manjiro Sano Stats:
Real Name: Manjiro Sano
Height: 5’3
Weight: 123 lbs.
Anime: Tokyo Revengers
Powers: No
Mikey is extremely short and light.
He’s actually one of the shortest male anime characters we’ve seen – and that’s saying something!
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Manjiro Sano Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Manjiro Sano Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To kickstart our research into Mikey we’re going to be pulling right from his Tokyo Revengers Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s what they start us off with:
Manjiro Sano, or Mikey, is a founding member and the leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang.
Which is basically nothing, but don’t worry – we have more to discuss.
When we move into his abilities they break down a TON of information.
They give each individual section a brief description, but here are the separate categories (being that I won’t be fully using each section):
- Authority
- Fighting Prowess
- Martial Arts
- Endurance
- Charisma
- Intuition
- Mechanical Knowledge
For Mikey we’ll be digging deeper into his fighting prowess, martial arts and endurance.
Here’s how they begin breaking down his fighting prowess:
Mikey is regarded as the strongest member Toman and arguably the series from a fighting standpoint. His epithet, the Invincible Mikey, is indicative of his strength and how he is revered among other delinquent groups. He is strong enough to incapacitate other elite gang members with a single kick, and his enemies often remark that they cannot believe that he is a mere teenager.
He favors kicks more than punches, as it deals much more damage and eliminates his height disadvantage, making him able to go toe-to-toe with tall opponents. His punches are above average, but his true strength lies in his kicking abilities. His kicks have crushed cars, and even his knockout move involves a kick.
His lightning-fast reflexes make him insusceptible to surprise attacks.
Yup, you read that right, they said:
“His kicks have crushed cars”
Which means we’re not dealing with any regular level strength here.
Originally I was going to keep our Tokyo Revengers routines to calisthenics, but his strength, especially his leg strength, warrants weights and a mixture of calisthenics and speed work while boosting our endurance.
Basically Mikey and Draken are extremely well rounded.
They move onto discuss his martial arts like this:
Unlike most delinquents, Mikey has actual martial arts experience that was honed into him ever since he was a child. He was also recognized as a prodigy. Due to this, his fighting sense, flexibility, and reflexes are unparalleled.
His signature and finishing move is a high right roundhouse kick that is executed at a blinding speed to the opponent’s temple, which has caught all but the strongest opponents off guard. It hooks the opponent’s head and slams it into the ground. Almost all who are hit by this kick get knocked out instantly. This kick has also been seen done using Mikey’s left leg.
And continue into his endurance section as follows:
Mikey is also shown to have remarkable endurance and resilience. He has been hit by blows that would have knocked out most individuals, yet he can still shake them off and keep fighting. The few times that he has been knocked out, he awoke quite quickly.
So expect to see some HIIT training and endurance work in there as well – because we’re training to be the leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang!
This is going to put your fitness levels to a real test.

Manjiro Sano Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5 days per week
For Mikey’s routine we’re going to be using 3 days of full body training with both calisthenics and weights mainly working around tri-sets that’ll really build our muscle while working on our endurance at the same time. We’ll also plug in some optional additional endurance work at the end of each full body day and tack on two days of circuit training that will really put us to the test in terms of intensity and endurance work.
Scaling Advice:
Everything can be done with a set of dumbbells. If you don’t have dumbbells you can utilize something else in place of the dumbbells and add more reps to make up for the lack of weight needed to perform some of the movements.
Want To Upgrade This Workout?
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
