Become an Ally: Support Students in Need Through the McKinney-Vento Program
The McKinney-Vento Program (MVP) is excited to announce the continuation of its newest initiative - the Ally Partners Program. This program is a unique opportunity to expand awareness and provide vital support to students experiencing homelessness in Prince George’s County. The Ally Partners Program seeks to collaborate with Community School Coordinators, Parent Engagement Assistants, School & Community Engagement Advocates, School Administrators, Registrars, Pupil Personnel Workers and Professional School Counselors. By participating, you will receive specialized training to become a trusted point of contact for these vulnerable students, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive in their educational journey. Some staff members may be eligible for workshop pay, making this not only a meaningful but also a rewarding experience. Training sessions will be conducted via Zoom.
