It was initially expected that Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer would save his in-home visit with five-star defensive back Shaun Wade for Sunday, the last day before the recruiting calendar turns to the Dead Period.

However those plans changed and on Monday evening, Meyer made the trip to Jacksonville along with cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs and co-offensive coordinator Tim Beck, according to Randy Wade, father of the five-star prospect.

"Everything went well," Wade added.

The three visited with the Buckeye commit and his family as Ohio State continues to try and keep Wade in the fold despite late pushes being made by Alabama, Florida, and others.

Wade is expected to make a final decision during Army Bowl week which is the first week of January. He will be enrolling in classes the following week.
