LOOK: Dan Lanning throws some shade at ‘College GameDay’ crew for picking BYU

Many coaches repeatedly say that they don’t pay attention to any of the noise outside of their locker room. Dan Lanning himself said after the game on Saturday — a 41-20 win for the Ducks over the then-No. 14 BYU Cougars — that there aren’t any opinions outside of the program that mean much to him and his team.

However, the Ducks’ first-year head coach poked a little bit of fun at some of those opinions after his team’s statement win against a really good Cougars team.

If you were paying attention earlier in the morning, the crew on ESPN’s “College GameDay” made their weekly picks for the top slate of games in the nation. When it came to BYU and Oregon, the only guy to pick the Ducks was guest picker Luke Combs, a country music star.

Lanning took note of that.

Of course, it needs to be mentioned that while Kirk Herbstreit’s graphic shows that he picked BYU, he actually ended up taking the Ducks, and the production crew just made a slight mistake. However, the point still stands that a majority of the experts sided with the Cougars, and they ended up being wrong.

And the Ducks now have a coach that is willing to let it be known. I love that.
