Izzo attends Peach Jam matchup that features elite, 5-star SG Trey McKenney
Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo continues to make elite in-state shooting guard Trey McKenney a priority prospect.
Izzo was one of many head coaches in attendance to watch McKenney and other top prospects at the Peach Jam event on Sunday. College basketball reporter Sam Lance said Izzo, Kansas’ Bill Self, Arkansas’ John Calipari, Georgetown’s Ed Cooley and Notre Dame’s Micah Shrewsberry were in attendance for a game that included five-star prospects McKenney and Darius Acuff.
McKenney ranks as the No. 3 shooting guard and No. 15 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 1 player from Michigan.
Michigan State has been very active in the recruitment of McKenney and is hoping to land this big-time in-state prospect. He currently holds offers from nearly 40 programs, including Michigan State.
