Former Georgia women's basketball player Maya Caldwell is coming home.

The lengthy wing signed with the Atlanta Dream earlier this week.

Caldwell was drafted No. 33 overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever. She signed with the Dream in 2022 and crafted her breakout season, averaging 10.9 points and 2.2 assists in nine appearances. She went back to the Fever in 2023 and played 30 games.

Caldwell was part of the Lady Bulldogs roster from 2018-2021, where she earned SEC All-Tournament honors as a senior by leading the red and black to the SEC Tournament title game. She played in 121 games over her tenure, averaging 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.

Caldwell is one of 24 Georgia players to be drafted into the WNBA dating back to 1997.

The Dream are seventh in the league with a 6-9 record. They play next on the road Friday at 7:30 p.m. against the Connecticut Sun, following by a Sunday 1 p.m. appearance at the New York Liberty.
