Los Angeles captured an unlikely victory over the 49ers in Week 3, so my first inclination is to back San Francisco at a short price.
But Los Angeles’ win and cover earlier in the year featured markedly different personnel.
Both Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua failed to play in that contest. Accordingly, a 296-yard offensive output doesn’t look nearly as bad at first glance.
The Rams offense, since returning their star wide receivers, has begun to excel.
Los Angeles ranks seventh in offensive DVOA, having faced the sixth-hardest set of opposing defenses, per ftnfantasy.com.
