Today, the Civil Aviation Authority of Qatar officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the African Civil Aviation Commission at AFCAC HQ, marking a significant step towards enhancing their partnership through closer cooperation in targeted areas.🌍✈️

Nos dias 17 e 18, tive a honra de representar a Comissão Africana de Aviação Civil (African Civil Aviation Commission AFCAC ) no Fórum Internacional em comemoração ao 20º aniversário da Agência de Aviação Civil de Cabo Verde (AAC), realizado na Cidade da Praia, Cabo Verde, sob o lema “Em prol da inclusão de gênero e da sustentabilidade ambiental na aviação civil”. Durante o evento, tive o prazer de moderar o painel “O percurso da aviação civil nacional – ganhos e desafios dos últimos 20 anos”, que contou com a participação da AAC, do CEO da empresa nacional de Navegação Aérea (ASA), do COO da Cabo Verde Aeroportos e do CEO da TACV Cabo Verde Airlines. Além disso, tive a satisfação de participar, juntamente com a BAGASOO, a ICAO, a EASA e a ECAC, no painel sobre “O papel dos organismos internacionais na promoção da segurança da aviação civil”. Foram dois dias de intensos debates e valiosas contribuições dos stakeholders nacionais do setor, de instituições públicas nacionais, da sociedade civil, e com a honrosa participação dos Diretores Gerais e técnicos das Autoridades de Aviação Civil Lusófonas (CAACL). ——————————- On the 17th and 18th, I had the honor of representing African Civil Aviation Commission AFCAC at the International Forum celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Civil Aviation Agency of Cabo Verde (AAC), held in Cidade da Praia, Cabo Verde, under the theme “For gender inclusion and environmental sustainability in civil aviation.” During the event, I had the pleasure of moderating the panel “The journey of national civil aviation – achievements and challenges of the last 20 years,” with panelists from AAC, the CEO of Air Navigation Services Provider (ASA), the COO of Cabo Verde Airports, and the CEO of TACV Cabo Verde Airlines. I was also delighted to participate, alongside BAGASOO, ICAO, EASA, and ECAC, in the panel on “The role of international organizations in promoting civil aviation safety.” These two days were filled with intense debates and valuable contributions from national stakeholders, public institutions, civil society, and the honored participation of the Directors General and technical staff of Lusophone Civil Aviation Authorities (CAACL).

O Fórum Internacional em comemoração ao 20º aniversário da AAC - Agência de Aviação Civil, realizado sob o lema “Em prol da inclusão de gênero e da sustentabilidade ambiental na aviação civil”, na Cidade da Praia, Cabo Verde, alcançou seu ponto alto com a assinatura da Declaração de Compromisso para a criação da Plataforma Nacional de Mulheres e Jovens na Aviação de Cabo Verde. Apadrinhada pela AAC, a plataforma terá como principais objetivos: promover a igualdade de gênero, empoderar mulheres e jovens, capacitar e desenvolver competências, fomentar o networking e a colaboração entre as entidades do setor, além de promover a conscientização pública. Sinto-me orgulhoso e entusiasmado em fazer parte desta iniciativa, que visa criar um setor da aviação civil mais resiliente e sustentável em Cabo Verde. ———- The International Forum celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC), held under the theme “For gender inclusion and environmental sustainability in civil aviation,” in Cidade da Praia, Cabo Verde, reached its peak with the signing of the Declaration of Commitment to establish the National Platform for Women and Youth in Aviation of Cabo Verde. Sponsored by the AAC, the platform will have as its main objectives: promoting gender equality, empowering women and youth, developing skills and competencies, fostering networking and collaboration among sector entities, and raising public awareness. I am proud and excited to be part of this initiative, which aims to create a more resilient and sustainable civil aviation sector in Cabo Verde. #AAC #BAGASOO #Empowerment
