Paraguay at the Olympics is a history which includes 11 games in 10 countries and 90+ athletes.[1] Since 1970, the Paraguay has contributed to the growth of the "Olympic Movement".[2]

The International Olympic Committee's official abbreviation for Paraguay is PAR.[3]

The Paraguay National Olympic Committee was formed in 1970. It was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1970.[4]

Paraguay's team first competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.[1]

Paraguay athletes have been in every Summer Olympic Games since 1968, except the boycotted 1980 Summer Olympics. They have never been in the Winter Olympic Games.

The nation has only ever won one medal, the silver medal in the men's football in Athens.
