Cedarosaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur from the Lower Cretaceous epoch.[1] It was a herbivore of unknown size.[2] Cedarosaurus was named for the Cedar Mountain Formation in eastern Utah, USA.[2] It was a brachiosaurid sauropod that ate tall vegetation from the tree canopy.[2] The skeleton was found in the Cedar Mountains the late 1990s by a team of paleontologists from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.[3] The skeleton was missing the neck, head and other parts.[4]
