Barmouth (Welsh: Abermaw (formal); Y Bermo (informal)) is a seaside town and community in the county of Gwynedd, Wales. It lies on the estuary of the River Mawddach and Cardigan Bay. It is located in the historic county of Merionethshire.

In the 2011 census, the town had a population of 2,522 people.

The town grew around the shipbuilding industry, and more recently grew as a seaside resort. It is a popular holiday destination for people around the West Midlands area of England, with thousands of holiday makers and tourists flocking to the town from this region every year.

The town has a railway station located on the Cambrian Coast Line between Pwllheli and Shrewsbury.
