Vanessa Marquez

American actress (1968–2018)

Vanessa Marquez (December 21, 1968 – August 30, 2018) was an American actress and singer. She was known for her recurring role on the first three seasons of ER as nurse Wendy Goldman, as well as her role as Ana Delgado in the 1988 teacher drama Stand and Deliver. She was born in Los Angeles, California.

Marquez, aged 49, was shot and killed by police during an incident at her home in South Pasadena, California on August 30, 2018.[1] Police officials found Marquez having a seizure at her home[2] and after recovering and talking to officers for 90 minutes, Marquez aimed a BB Gun at the officers where they opened fire.[3]
