What a memorable experience at the Dell Technologies Forum 2024! HTX had the great privilege of speaking on the GenAI Panel, themed "Fast-tracking Generative AI", featuring also Him Chuan LIM, Yonggang Wen, Raju C., and expertly moderated by Mei May Soo. We delved into HTX’s AI movement to create an AI-first HTX to foster an AI-enabled Home Team for a safe and secure Singapore. AI has immense potential to transform citizen and employee experiences, and enhancing mission outcomes across the Home Team, empowering every officer to have an exponential impact on public safety and security. Just as crucial is our proactive stance in addressing the risks associated with widespread AI adoption. We highlighted the need for guardrails in AI model deployment and to champion Explainable AI, ensuring a responsible and secure integration of AI technologies. At the opening of BlackHat USA 2024, Jeff Moss discussed several key points related to cybersecurity and geopolitical challenges: 1. Increased risks in the technology supply chain due to geopolitical tensions. 2. In cloud environments, the risk model of one customer becomes the risk model for all customers. 3. Organisations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) cannot take sides in conflicts, but tech companies like Microsoft are inevitably involved, creating conflicts of interest. 4. Global political events are causing a division among countries into different "teams": team rule-of-law, team autocratic, team undecided, and team neutral (with Singapore mentioned as an example of neutrality). 5. Countries are using app stores as tools of diplomacy. For instance, one country may force app stores to remove apps from another country, such as India banning TikTok. Conversely, some countries are mandating that side-loading of apps be allowed.

Post MAP-TXS’24 Part 4 of 4 Series The Milipol AsiaPacific – TechX Summit 2024 (MAP-TXS 2024) has concluded with immense success! Our Conference-Exhibition approach has drawn more audiences and engaged more active-participations across all attendees throughout the event.   Preliminary statistics clearly indicated that more than 2000 Conference international delegates participated and packing almost an average of 75% of the seating space every day of the three-day event. We had delegates from US, UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific and ASEAN countries. The Milipol Asia-Pacific exhibition had a record number of attendees that seen a jump from previous edition (2019 - more than seven thousand, 2022 – more than six thousand) to thirteen thousand this time in 2024! This event has attracted more than 250+ companies from over 30 countries from around the world to attend the MAP-TXS exhibition and conference. Our Partners have played a significant role in making MAP-TXS 2024 a resounding success. They have helped us achieve our goal in fostering dialogue and collaborations amongst the homeland security community and positioned MAP-TXS 2024 as the Asia-Pacific’s premier homeland security conference and exhibition.
