Day 3 took us to the heart of high-tech development at the Shanghai Lingang Pujiang International Science and Technology City—a forward-looking hub for industries like AI and biotechnology. We then explored advancements in IC and semiconductor solutions with Lqsilicon IC Co., Ltd. Our journey ended on a high note at the International Innovation Center of Tsinghua University, Shanghai, a hub for entrepreneurial growth and cross-industry collaboration. Finally, the team participated in an inspiring discussion with the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA), whose members bring back global insights back to drive China’s technological future. On 18 October, Arvin Tang, Vice President of TTAB and Founder of AKIN, gave a talk at The Future of HR with AI, organised by Singapore Computer Society HRTech TIG, and shared insights on how AI is changing the way we work. Beyond recruitment, he showcased how AI can also help keep the company culture strong and build teams ready to compete and adapt to the future. Fellow industry thought leaders Dr. Soon Joo Gog of SkillsFuture SG also talked about the need to plan for a changing workforce and skillset in an AI-driven world, while Dr. Oliver S. of Intellect showed how AI tools are helping to support employee mental wellbeing. As we recently celebrated #WorldMentalHealthDay, the session was a great reminder of how emerging technologies, such as AI, can be used to support employee wellness, in addition to driving business success and growth.
