Happy Diwali, friends! ✨ In the spirit of this joyous season, we are thrilled to highlight one of our delicious plant-based offerings: "Butter Chicken," crafted exclusively from our plant-based meat analogue! Did you know that butter chicken, also known as "murgh makhani," is a popular Indian dish featuring tender pieces of chicken cooked in a rich, creamy tomato sauce? Of course, we have given this classic a twist by using our plant-based chicken instead of real meat, making it a delicious and sustainable option for everyone to enjoy! 🌱 Wishing you all a festive season filled with light, love, and wonderful plant-based meals to share with family and friends! 🪔💚 #SGProtein #Diwali #Deepavali #plantbasedchicken #butterchicken #plantbased #plantbasedmeat #meatalternatives #sustainableeating #veganmeat #scalabilityondemand

In a recent edition of The Straits Times, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam highlighted the urgent need to shift towards plant-based proteins during a high-level event convened by The World Bank and the Global Commission on the Economics of Water, which he co-chairs. He pointed out that our reliance on animal-based proteins, particularly beef, is unsustainable due to its significant water usage and greenhouse gas emissions. At SGProtein, we fully support this transition by producing delicious and healthy alternative proteins. It’s encouraging to see governments recognising the need for change, and we are excited to contribute to a more sustainable future! 🌱 Visit our SGProtein website to find out more about what we do: www.eatsgprotein.com Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gH6hJEZg #SGProtein #Healthy #FoodInnovation #Sustainable #ProteinTransformation #FoodTech #Innovation #AlternativeProteins #FutureOfFood #PlantBased #MeatAlternatives #ScalabilityOnDemand #plantbasedcuts

This morning’s The Straits Times hails President Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s comments during a high-level event convened by The World Bank and the Global Commission on the Economics of Water, which he co-chairs. “He noted that the world will have to make a shift to consume more plant-based proteins, as the current global reliance on animal-based proteins is unsustainable. Animal-based foods, in particular beef, are far more water-intensive to produce and are a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. Shifting away from this can be done without reducing individual choice, but by providing affordable and tasty alternatives, and investing in alternative proteins, he said." President Tharman also addressed the “massive mismatch of skills” and advocated for internships to increase “what’s called the dual education mode, where people study and work at the same time”, in a fireside chat, held after the inaugural meeting of the High-level Advisory Council on Jobs in Washington, DC. I couldn’t be happier with this vote of confidence by the President of our Republic, as this is exactly what we've been working on at The Good Food Institute APAC. A huge shout out to my colleague Arin Naidu and our partners Kerry SGProtein, Bühler Group, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, Singapore Polytechnic, and Singapore Institute of Technology who have joined forces to create hands-on training programmes to skill up the Singaporean workforce for the alt protein sector, a sector which will enable a sustainable and secure food system for all. 🌱🍗🌏 👉 Full article: https://lnkd.in/gJYJMNCj 👉 Learn more about career pathways into the plant-based meat industry in Singapore: https://lnkd.in/gFV3WYPB 👉 Bring our alternative protein curriculum to your classroom: https://lnkd.in/gnXjGx4J
Skills mismatch is a major problem worldwide, but it can be fixed: President Tharman

As a trusted partner in the food and feed industry, Bühler is committed to collaborating with our customers to achieve this goal. We welcomed around 40 attendees, including top food producers, government stakeholders, and industry partners, to discuss trends, opportunities and the importance of innovation. To the delight of participants, the event’s lunch menu featured classic Filipino dishes such as chicken adobo, chicken sisig, minced pork lumpiang spring rolls and beef kaldereta stew-with a twist, using SGProtein plant-based high-moisture extruded products.
