Last Saturday, our UWS STEM FEST was bustling with the spirit of inquisitivity and good vibes! 😍 We’re proud to share that we had close to 800 participants join us, with over 300 young women filling the rooms of our 8 STEM Workshops and receiving mentorship from our 78 speed mentors from our corporate partners. There were over 200 corporate and university partners at our 18 interactive booths and workshops who had spent the afternoon generously #STEMpowering not only these young women, but also over 100 parents, teachers and public who dropped by! 💪 Ms Sun Xueling, Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of Social and Family Development graced our festival with an intimate engagement with students from our STEM Programmes. To kick off the afternoon of discovery, Ms Sun shared an insightful keynote speech, highlighting the ways in which the Singapore government works towards achieving gender equality. With her encouraging and exuberant spirit, she wished our students well: “To the young innovators here today, I encourage you to seize every opportunity, embrace your curiosity, and never stop learning. The future is yours to create!” 💭 UWS STEM Fest would not have been a success without all the support from our partners, educators, and the public! 🙌 Shout-out to our Venue Partner Marina Bay Sands for hosting us to incubate new STEM beginnings with us!

Following the success of our 2023 Book Reading, we're excited to engage more men in HeForShe NTU initiatives. Join us for a dynamic panel discussion sparking conversations on actionable steps to enhance experiences for all genders within the NTU community. 👨🏫 Assistant Professor Aron Meltzer from the NTU Asian School of the Environment brings a unique perspective from his geological research. Passionate about equity and justice, Aron is part of ASE’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (JEDI) Committee, advocating for a fairer world. 🧠 Devanantthan (Devan) from Mental ACT is a dedicated social worker and co-founder and director of Mental ACT, a non-profit organization addressing mental health stigma in South Asian communities. Beyond his work in suicide prevention, Devan is engaged in in advocating for minority groups and exploring the intricate intersections of race, gender, religion, and other identities. 🌿 Santosh Kumar, the founder of Soul Probe, fosters healing and growth through safe spaces and introspective circles.
