Collaboration is at the heart of building resilient and sustainable supply chains 💪🏻 That’s why #FairPriceGroup, a proud founding signatory of the UN Global Compact Network Singapore, has launched the “Suppliers Capacity Building for a Sustainable Future” programme! This initiative aims to empower and support our supply chain partners, especially SMEs, as they shift toward #sustainable business practices, which include: ✅ Tailored Solutions: Addressing SMEs’ specific sustainability challenges. ✅ Flexible Learning: Skill-building at each supplier’s own pace. ✅ Fully Covered Training Costs: Removing financial barriers and making it easier to take that first step. ✅ Ongoing Support: Fostering a community for shared growth and learning. We’re thrilled by the turnout for our first session, with over 50 members of our value chain jumping on board 💙 This is just the beginning, and we’re committed to driving collective impact as we work toward a more resilient, sustainable future! #EasyOnThePlanet

I recently had the opportunity to lead a Brown Bag sharing session with the Singapore Airlines staff including their Sustainability team, ground staff focused on the SDGs, aiming to raise awareness and impact of aviation sector on the SDGs. During the session, we explored key goals like Climate Action, Responsible Consumption and Production, Decent work and Economic Growth, engaging participants through discussions and interactive activities. It was inspiring to see so much enthusiasm. I learned about the new impactful sustainability initiatives of Singapore Airlines like CORSIA, OptiClimb and CDR. I was truly impressed by the expansive office building and fascinated to learn that it was originally a hangar that has been repurposed into an office space. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to get involved in local initiatives. This experience has reinforced the importance of these goals in our daily lives. I encourage everyone to continue exploring how we can collectively contribute to a more sustainable future. Let’s keep the conversation going! Thank you to Esther Chang, CFRE and Sue Meng CHANfor giving me this opportunity and Terence Tan for the continuous support. #SDGs #SustainableDevelopment #CommunityEngagement #Education #ClimateAction #aviation UN Global Compact Network Singapore

🌍 Just attended an inspiring Sustainability Brown Bag session on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the amazing Puja Verma and our Sustainability Office colleagues, including insights from a pilot! 🎉 Puja shared how organizations can align their goals with the SDGs to make impactful changes. A fantastic example is Singapore Airlines, whose sustainability efforts support a greener aviation industry and align with key SDGs: 1️⃣ SDG 13: Climate Action – With a goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, SIA’s Carbon Offset Program and fleet efficiency help drive climate action. 2️⃣ SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – Initiatives focus on reducing waste, recycling, and responsible sourcing. 3️⃣ SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – SIA fosters inclusive employment and economic growth through workforce development. 4️⃣ SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy – SIA reduces emissions through sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and a fuel-efficient fleet. 5️⃣ SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure – SIA partners with tech leaders to advance sustainable aviation practices. 6️⃣ SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – SIA collaborates with governments and NGOs for sustainability across the industry. 7️⃣ SDG 14: Life Below Water – SIA limits single-use plastics, protecting oceans and marine life. I also learned about new, impactful initiatives: • CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) – Helps stabilize CO2 emissions by offsetting those that exceed 2020 levels. • OptiClimb – A data-driven tool that optimizes flight paths, reducing emissions with even minor climb adjustments. • CDR (Carbon Dioxide Removal) – Goes beyond offsets by removing CO2 from the atmosphere, a key tool for achieving net-zero. These initiatives are part of a universal call to action to end poverty, protect our planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. Seeing these efforts in action inspires hope for a sustainable future! 🌱 What sustainability initiatives has your organization adopted? #Sustainability #UNSDGs #SingaporeAirlines #SustainableDevelopment #Aviation
