Volunteers from Brighton Community Church went door-to-door to invite seniors above 60 years old to join our Mid-Autumn Carnival! This month, we joyfully celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival at MacPherson Spring! Volunteers from Brighton Community Church went door-to-door to invite families with children to join our Mid-Autumn Party, featuring exciting activities such as lantern-making and face painting! Through this community-wide event, we aim to raise awareness about our student care centre located at Block 37 Circuit Road and connect with more families to partner in nurturing their little ones! #BCC #BSCCMacPherson #StudentCare

In July, we took the opportunity to show our appreciation to our corporate donors in the last financial year! Bringing joy to the community with Kaspersky! 😊❤️ Brighton Connection and volunteers from Kaspersky brought our community seniors for a fun day out to the Asian Civilization Museum, followed by a sumptuous lunch. It was such a heartwarming sight to witness how the multi-cultural staff of Kaspersky were able to engage our seniors from MacPherson despite potential language barriers! A perfect example of how love and care is our universal language. Thank you once again to Kaspersky for partnering us to bring joy to the community. We look forward to more opportunities to break barriers and build connections!

Our Director Judy Chua received the IMDA Digital For Life Catalyst Award on behalf of Brighton Connection! The DFL Catalyst Award is a new category that was introduced to recognise partners like us who have initiated Digital For Life projects like our Digital Rescue Programme also known as #NotScaryBeSavvy 📱✨ Not Scary Be Savvy aims to not only boost confidence in isolated seniors which are more vulnerable to scams, but also empowering senior volunteers to teach and befriend the isolated seniors! We would like to also specially mention Cedric from Orbital Softworks for creating the Digital Rescue Tracker which helps our senior volunteers to log and track the progress of the Savvy Sessions!

In partnership with Zscaler, we ran a Z-Family carnival at YWCA, Fort Canning! 👨👩👧👦❤️ At Brighton Connection, we know the value of having strong family bonds. Through this carnival, we wanted to provide a platform for employees of Zscaler and their families to foster ties beyond the workplace. At the same time, the proceeds from the Z-Family Carnival go to supporting our youth mentoring arm to help our youths have a stronger footing as they enter into the phase of being a young adult with our programmes! Thank you volunteers from Zscaler, Brighton Community Church and members of public for being the brains, hands and smiles for the carnival!

Who doesn’t love a CHALLENGE? 😍 We recognised that our youths are filled with lots of excitement, energy and untapped potential! Through our annual Sports Challenge event, we hope to engage our youths positively by playing team-based sports that hone their social skills and build up their tenacity! Thank you to our organising committee from Brighton Young Adults and supporting committee from SMU Touching Hearts and MacPherson Youth Network for being the brains and hands for this event! A big shoutout to participating youth organisations CCSS Cares and ComLink+ coaches from Ministry of Social Affairs for bringing along their youths to our event!

Forging Touchpoints with Forcepoint! Not only did we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our student care centre in MacPherson, we also took the opportunity to give out food bentos and bubble tea to our senior beneficiaries residing in the famous rental block of 37 Circuit Road! Thank you volunteers from Forcepoint for celebrating one of our milestones and to give back to the community together with their families!
