🌟 Meet the Anjuna Team: Employee of the Month, Jonothan Murray! 🌟 Jon, is our Business Development Manager for Fiji Airways. Jon Murray's journey in the airline industry began in 2006. "In late 2016, I responded to an invitation to interview for a new position. I was a little skeptical at first but was really impressed by the information Anjuna shared with me. I decided to take a chance and accepted the position as BDM. Seven and a half years later, and I haven’t looked back." As the BDM for #Fiji, Jon is responsible for promoting our airline accounts to agencies across Canada. He ensures they understand our products and their benefits. Jon's keen eye for data analysis helps him stay ahead of sales trends and identify growth opportunities. "I primarily use sales data to identify who’s selling and make sure they are up to date on a carrier’s benefits. I also make sure I stay on top of competitors’ pricing so that we don’t miss out on opportunities." Before joining Anjuna, Jon was a sales manager for an airline, building relationships with top-producing agencies and gaining a deep understanding of the Canadian #airline market. "That job allowed me to build relationships with the top-producing agencies and get a deeper understanding of the airline market in #Canada." Launching new airlines in Canada has been a highlight of Jon's career, bringing immense satisfaction. "The most rewarding thing about my job is the satisfaction I’ve felt from successfully launching a new airline in Canada. I’ve had that opportunity with two airlines so far and it’s been great being able to show a client the benefits of expanding into Canada." The challenge lies in managing the vast amount of information needed to represent multiple accounts successfully. Jon stays updated with industry trends through extensive data collection, ensuring Anjuna remains competitive. "I do a lot of reading to make sure I stay on top of the market, especially when it comes to the competition. I also try to gather as much sales data as possible so that I know what’s being sold and where the potential growth opportunities are." "Anjuna is very data-driven, and we do a lot of analysis for our clients so that they can get a full understanding of the market and the opportunities available to them. Anjuna also has a very experienced staff, and all of us work together to leverage our strengths for the full benefit of our clients." Jon emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and staying updated with sales trends. "Never stop learning. This industry is always changing and it’s crucial to stay on top of sales trends so that you can provide the maximum benefit to your clients. You also need to build lasting relationships with your clients and make sure they see you as someone they can trust."
