The workshop included insights from Alex MacLeod, Director of Healthcare Solution Innovation, InterSystems and Francois Le Floch, Principal Solutions Engineer, Healthcare Solution Innovation, InterSystems, and roundtable discussions moderated by AmChamSG CEO Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei.   📋 During the workshop, Alex and Francois shared with attendees the latest advancements in Health Information Exchange (HIE) and real-world best practices of regional HIEs built on InterSystems HealthShare. 🔔 [Balestier Series with Minister Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations] POST 2/2 #ICYMI 🔔 ⚡ In addition to Minister Fu’s engagement at the Balestier Series, AmChamSG member and Managing Director for BowerGroupAsia Singapore, Ms. Nydia Ngiow launched the white paper titled ‘U.S. – Singapore Free Trade Agreement: Industry Recommendations on finding new paths for Trade and Investment’. 💡 Nydia touched on the insights arising from the flash survey, as well as the more in-depth interviews with member companies that took place after. 🔔 [Balestier Series with Minister Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations] POST 1/2 #ICYMI 🔔 ⚡ AmChamSG hosted the fourth and final session of our signature Balestier Series of 2024 at One Farrer Hotel, with Ms. Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations last week. 🎤 Following the launch of AmChamSG’s whitepaper Commemorating 20 Years of the U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreement – Industry Recommendations on Finding New Paths for Trade and Investment, Minister Fu shared her insights on a variety of sustainability and trade related topics, including:- 💡 The key role that industry feedback plays in trade agreements - Minister Fu underscored the importance of industry feedback in shaping future trade agreements and thanked AmChamSG and our members for their input over the years. She emphasized that engaging with companies on such agreements helps ensure that Singapore is a competitive business and investment destination and that Singapore’s free trade agreements (FTAs) provide a framework that enhances business confidence and investment security locally and in the region. 💡 The urgency and complexity of climate action -  Minister Fu emphasized the critical need for immediate climate action, including tripling renewable energy capacity and increasing electric vehicle usage to meet global temperature goals by 2030. She acknowledged that adaptation to climate change is a complex challenge given the varying needs across countries and industries. She also reiterated the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving sustainability goals.
