Moynihan Train Hall is open to the public daily from 5 am through 1 am and closed to the public between 1 am and 5 am. Between 1 am and 5 am, all Amtrak operations are handled at New York Penn Station, including baggage, Red Cap services, access and egress to platforms.
20 hours ago · We arrived early at the Moynihan train hall. There was a waiting room specifically marked for Amtrak passengers. Typically 15 minutes before departure, your train track will show up on the board for boarding. There was a big crush of people, but staff kept it organized and calm. Staff were funny and entertaining while we waited to board the train.
