   Melrose is a mostly residential neighborhood in the southwestern section of the New York City borough of the Bronx. It adjoins the business and one-time theater area known as The Hub. Melrose is rectangular-shaped, being bordered by Saint Anns Avenue on the east, 149th Street on the south, Park Avenue on the west, and 163rd Street to the north.

   Melrose is a neighborhood in the heart of The South Bronx. To its west, across Morris & Park Avenues is the neighborhood of Concourse Village. Morrisania is to the north, past East 161st & 163rd Streets. Longwood is to the east, beyond Prospect Avenue. East 149th Street forms the southern border with Mott Haven.
