Breaking news! 🎵 The music industry is decarbonising… Massive Attack is leading the way #climateemergency We are very proud to announce that Volta Trucks will be Official Partner for the Massive Attack Tour. 🇬🇧 The show – an all-day festival called Act 1.5 on Clifton Down, a large public park in the west of Bristol, on 25 August – will also feature performances from Irish folk band Lankum and US rapper Killer Mike, among other acts. "The show production is pioneering in all aspects of decarbonisation and will create a blueprint for the way live shows can be produced," Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja, also known as 3D, tells the BBC. "The scale of innovations and emissions reductions will speak for themselves." “Carnet de Voyage”, by Sathya Rajendra Babu, Director - Chassis and Vehicle Integration ⚡️ Over 2358 km we covered from our base in Nuneaton to London -> Brighton -> Paris -> Geneva -> Return to Nuneaton, we consumed 1566 kWh. Resulting in an energy efficiency of *0.66 kWh/km*. This was with a vehicle weight of just under 10t ⚡️Didn't have any concern or anxiety about range and finding a charger. ⚡️En-route, we tested 17 different charging locations to identify what chargers were installed, assessed ease of access to the charging stations for HGVs, and evaluated charging interoperability ⚡️Successfully DC charged on 7 different makes of EV chargers ⚡️Only one out of the 17 of the charging stations we tested was dedicated to HGVs, from Milence, and a 2nd one being built (ready in a few weeks) ⚡️The rest were all specific for passenger cars - thankfully there were multiple bays and at the times we charged, many of these were free so we were able to park our vehicle across multiple car parking bays. ⚡️One of the IONITY chargers we visited in France was also designed for 'Cars and caravans' rather than just passenger cars, which was also more friendly for Maureen. #EVRally - Dave Dewson, Joe Bancroft, Sathya Rajendra Babu ATC Computer Transport & Logistics, Upstream Security, Octopus Energy

Mission accomplished ✅ As they landed from their trip from Geneva, late last night, our colleagues Sathya, Dave and Joe reported that Maureen had achieved 2358 km. This will be a memorable experience for our team, a Volta Trucks World’s first : from London to Geneva, and back, on a 225 kWh battery. This whole journey was possible thanks to our sponsors and available public charging network.
