Last week, our company completed its participation at REPMUS 2024 with our V-200 as part of Team Sweden, proving in the process just how capable our UA is as a maritime surveillance asset. During this year's edition of REMPUS, we also worked closely with Saab's Piraya USVs and Miraya AB to provide a complete real-time surveillance picture. Check out the video below to see our system in action at this year's REPMUS and hear Michel Egerborn explain how the V-200 can be deployed for multiple weeks with a very compact footprint. #REPMUS #Surveilanceasset #UAS #Unmannedsystems #Realtime

Last week, our company exhibited at World Port Days in Rotterdam as part of the Dutch Navy’s Mine Counter Measure (MCM) exhibit, where our V-200 was displayed in the context of the Navy’s remote Mine Countermeasure (MCM) toolbox. We had several engaging discussions with representatives from the Dutch MoD and Navy about unmanned systems, and they even had the opportunity to experience our system firsthand using the simulator with one of our pilots in command, Timothy Sharp, GCGI.  Thank you to all of those who took the time to pass by to meet us and learn more about the SKELDAR V-200. We look forward to seeing you again at future events! #Unmannedsystems #UMSSKELDAR

This afternoon, we're proud to announce that UMS SKELDAR will begin performing flight tests with the V-200 at Norrköping Airport from September. Crucially for our company, a special airspace area has been designated where current and future variants of the V-200 can be test-flown and evaluated. Norrköping Airport is one of Sweden's oldest airports and will be celebrating 90 years of continued operations next month. Ambulance flights, police helicopters, military aircraft, air taxis, and private flights also operate from adjacent flight areas, and we look forward to being the first operator of UAS in our weight class at Norrköping Airport! Stay tuned! We look forward to sharing updates from our flights soon! In the meantime, you can read more about our planned activities at Norrköping Airport in the link below: https://lnkd.in/d-AWQHbt

As our CEO, Lars Sjöberg, highlights in his most recent video interview from Eurosatory with @Soldier Modernization magazine, UMS SKELDAR's close partnerships with sensor manufacturers are integral for enabling the V-200 to support an extensive variety of missions. From providing extended surveillance capabilities to supporting highly time-critical search and rescue efforts, the V-200 can be considered a true multi-role platform thanks to the extensive range of payloads that can be integrated. Are you interested in learning more about how the V-200 supports maritime and overland operations? If so, please don't hesitate to contact us. #Eurosatory #CEOinterview #Partnerships #Capabilities https://lnkd.in/dSxJiZvC

Here at UMS SKELDAR, we're very proud of our interns and their achievements. On Thursday last week, students Viktor and Max had a presentation of their thesis project about vibration health for our Aerostructure & Installation team. Here is a summary of what the thesis is about: Helicopter reliability and safety are paramount, especially in their operational use in civilian and military applications. This thesis introduces a method for monitoring helicopter vibration health by integrating flight state information into the configuration of an autoencoder-based anomaly detection model. Traditional approaches to vibration health monitoring in helicopters often categorize monitoring into specific operational ranges, such as hover and forward flight at different speeds. This thesis aims to enhance diagnostic capability by incorporating flight state data within these operational ranges. Our research addresses this gap by developing an autoencoder framework that integrates flight state data, thereby increasing the sensitivity and accuracy of fault detection. A data-driven approach is employed, training models on historical data. The anomaly detection model monitors vibration data alongside flight state parameters, such as airspeed and rotor controls, to predict faults in the main rotor system. The proposed model is trained and validated using unseen flight data, artificially modified with varying degrees of increased vibration. Results indicate that the flight-state-aware autoencoder can effectively generalize expected vibration levels during one flight regime and detect moderate increases in vibration levels as anomalies. We are deeply grateful for Viktor Erlandsson and Max Idermark's fresh perspectives and valuable contributions. Their collaboration this spring and insightful presentation has been truly inspiring to us. Also, thanks to their supervisor, Tony Holmlund-Olsson, and to Bertil Eronn for support. We wish Viktor and Max congratulations on your graduation and good luck! Are you a student interested in an internship at UMS SKELDAR?
