Whether it's at the Alihankinta Subcontracting Fair, the MSV Brno International Engineering Fair, or the EUROFORGE AISBL conFAIR 2024, these events allow us to step outside our day-to-day operations and engage directly with the people who matter most to our business. Ovako in the spotlight for driving energy transition! 🎥 🌍 In Hofors, 40 % of the district heating comes from waste heat generated by our processes — a share that’s steadily increasing thanks to our new fossil-free hydrogen facility, which will contribute an additional 3-9 GWh of waste heat annually. Yesterday, SVT visited our site in Hofors to highlight Ovako's role in the energy transition. These initiatives are just one part of our commitment to reduce the environmental impact, relieving the grid, and supporting a sustainable energy system. Ovako is building a better future by ensuring every process counts toward a more sustainable society 💪

If there's a person that knows the ins and outs of steel, it's Steve. We're proud that Dr. Steve Ooi has been recognized for his expertise in physical metallurgy and new alloy development at the Institute for Materials Discovery, UCL. (For the Master of Science program) He was recently invited to be a guest lecturer for more than 150 students on micro structure control in advanced materials. Ovako’s Game Launch- Excitement and Challenges for 9th Graders Last week we got to join in as Ovako's game was played for the first time at the Yrityskylä Southeast Finland located in Lappeenranta. The game was played by 9th graders from Mäntyharju. During the game, there was excitement, tough negotiations, and the joy of success – and we even witnessed one case of corporate espionage 😄 A big thank you to Yrityskylä and Nuorten yrittäjyys ja talous NYT - JA Finland, you’re doing an amazing and important job! 💎
