We are Ninjas in Pyjamas, probably the world's most legendary esports team. Born in 2000 with Counter-Strike in our blood, we have pioneered the esports scene since its inception. We earned our stripes by competing at the very top level across almost a dozen game titles and we never lose — we only win or learn. Back then, esports was barely a thing. Today, it's a fast growing global industry. That didn't happen because we visionaries stuck to conventional wisdom. It happened because we decided to change the game. Ninjas in Pyjamas is committed to adopting and promoting fair practices within the esports industry through innovative solutions for tackling climate change. For the second year in a row, our Innovation Director, Laura Rojas Uribe is attending the Conference of the Parties (COP28 UAE) in Dubai, UAE. Today she is facilitating a plenary on the fourth systematic innovation workshop for UGIH for UNFCCC in Fashion. On December 11, Laura is representing NIP at the UNFCCC Hub, along with 15 selected innovative solutions for change. Through our partnership with global sports brand, FILA and Fashion Innovation Center (FIC), we’ve been working to change consumer behavior and exploring how the fashion industry can contribute to creating systemic change. The NIP x FILA first collection’s jersey, with its unique digital garment integrated into each garment, forms part of NIP’s plans for a more integrated gamification strategy which will be rolled out. The digital layer has the potential to create value over time. The chip not only holds the history of the jersey, from material sourcing to tournament attendance, but also helps to maximize the in-real-life esports experience across the NIP world.
