    Today, Nicoya together with InsightMe. is launching 'The Food Frontrunner Report 2023'. A report packed with insights into what drives the food consumers of tomorrow, a deep-dive into consumers' journey from omnivorous to vegetarians and vegans, and much more. Nicoya wanted to make this report as we see a need for brands and innovations to better match consumers' preferences and desires, so go onto our website and to learn more: https://lnkd.in/dWUMWw6y December 12th we'll also be hosting a webinar where the report and its findings will presented. Visit our website for more information.   On the vegetarian journey from red to green, we've taken a deeper look into the group not seldom generalized as flexitarians. There three unique groups emerge: the Meat Bias, the Switchers and the Vegetarian Bias. These three groups all differ with their own distinct preferences and drivers. The Meat Bias for instance, plan their meals based on traditional dishes, but in some cases switch to meat substitutes, whereas the Switchers to larger degree would like to eat more plant-based, but are kept due to practical reasons – e.g., not convenient or tasty enough.   The data was also compared with previous collected data, which showed a subtle but clear movement towards more plant-based and flexible dietary habits in general and that more people are identifying themselves as vegetarians.   We also took a look into the preferences of the frontrunners in food. These frontrunners illuminate emerging trends and provide insights into the evolving preferences of the broader market allowing for proactive strategizing. Two types of frontrunners are identified; those within Food which prioritize enjoyment and are motivated by natural ingredients, and those within Health which predominantly seek a natural and functional offer.
