The friendly Flutter conference! After a huge success last year we are organizing another version of Flutter & Friends in Stockholm this autumn (1-3rd of September). The conference is a bit special since there is a lot of focus on social activities outside of the normal conference activities. There are only talks on the 2nd of September and the 1st is an optional day with different social activities where you get to see parts of Stockholm and get to know others in the community better, and on the 3rd we’re having a workshop-day. We're also doing two successful concepts from last year where the first is called Dinner with strangers where you are divided into groups and every group gets to go to a different restaurant in Stockholm and the second one is called Flutter in the dark, which is a coding competition inspired by Code in the dark. There is one difference that truly sets Flutter & Friends apart from other conferences It’s not just a conference with talks, workshops, and panel discussions (although those are important and present as well), and it's not just a community gathering—it's a meeting of FRIENDS! I was amazed by the incredible atmosphere the organizers managed to create while combining it with high-quality content. It was fantastic! 🔥🔥 Regarding the content, I hope my workshop "Porting your Flutter mobile app to TV platforms" was useful for attendees, I even missed the group photo because I was setting up the environment. Btw, a big thanks to the organizers for finding me an Apple TV and Google TV so I was able to show everything at real devices (accidentally didn't take mine from Berlin) I was so happy to reconnect with old friends and, of course, to make new ones! See you soon! Huge respect and thanks to Lukas Klingsbo, Alek Åström 👷♂️, and Johannes Pietilä Löhnn for this unforgettable conference!

Flutter & Friends 2024 has come to an end and wow, what amazing 3 days we've had in Stockholm! 🎉 In numbers: 301 attendees 28 speakers 9 workshops 1 Hackathon 8 social activities 15 dinners 1 Pre-conference pub w/ Pub quiz And an epic after-party with Flutter in the Dark We can't thank everyone enough for this amazingly special event and hope to see everyone in the next installment, bigger and better! I built a small flutter app today at the NFC workshop of Flutter & Friends in Stockholm. All attendees of the conference received a NFC Sticker and I thought about an ice breaker for people within the community. Each NFC tag comes with an id which I translate to a Pokémon. So every time you meet a new person, you can scan their tag and will catch a Pokémon. Gotta talk to a lot of people if you wanna catch ‘em all 😁 Thanks to Lukas Klingsbo for encouraging me to talk about it ✌️ #flutter #flutterandfriends #mobiledevelopment #appdevelopment
