Today, on World Sepsis Day, Diaverum joins the fight against this life-threatening condition. Sepsis is a serious complication that can occur when the body tries to respond to a severe infection. People with #CKD are at a higher risk of developing sepsis, due to weakened immune responses. Early diagnosis and treatment of infections are crucial in preventing serious complications. My first few weeks at M42 Health have been nothing short of incredible, peaking with a highly productive offsite meeting where I had the opportunity to connect with senior leaders from both our patient care assets and corporate functions. During the meeting, we aligned on key priorities, reviewed our 2024 performance, and set the course for future strategies. We also established a unified global medical governance framework and engaged in leadership sessions designed to strengthen our global team's collaboration. A special highlight was having our Group CEO, Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, sharing his valuable reflections on the past and guidance for the future of the business. I was particularly impressed by the breadth and quality of our service lines, including Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, National Reference Laboratory (NRL), Amana Healthcare, Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children, Healthpoint, HealthPlus Network of Specialty Centers, Moorfields, and more. These assets truly set the standard for healthcare excellence in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, I had the chance to delve into our digital and #AI initiatives. M42 is at the forefront of a transformative journey, adopting cutting-edge cloud technologies and investing in large data models to drive breakthrough applications that will redefine patient care. At Diaverum, we understand the crucial role of health literacy in patient care, and actively promote educational activities to help improve our patients’ outcomes and experiences. 📊 In 2023, we introduced a preliminary survey to evaluate the health literacy of our patients and gauge the impact of our various initiatives. M42 appoints Dimitris Moulavasilis, Diaverum CEO, as interim M42 Group COO. We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dimitris Moulavasilis as interim Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) and a member of the company’s Executive Team, effectively immediately. Dimitris will retain his current role as CEO of Diaverum, a global leader and the largest independent renal service provider in Europe, which was acquired by M42 Health in 2023. With over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare and medical technology sectors, Dimitris will be focused on leveraging M42 and Diaverum’s joint clinical excellence and leading technology expertise to support the Group’s international expansion. He will also lead teams on accelerating the digital and AI transformation of our patient care services. This announcement comes after Ashish Koshy’s departure from the company. We are pleased to announce that Diaverum UK has been awarded a significant new contract to supply life-enhancing renal care in Woodgate, Birmingham. This announcement marks Diaverum UK’s further expansion into the West Midlands, where it has established itself as a long-term provider of renal care services. The contract came through a University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust tender and encompasses the provision of fully managed services - including nursing, consumables, equipment, facilities, pharmaceuticals and nutrition services - at the Woodgate Dialysis Unit for the next 12 years. Commenting on the news, Lisa Jordan, Managing Director for Diaverum UK, said: “We are thrilled to announce the inclusion of the Woodgate Dialysis Unit to our portfolio of clinics, which represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional healthcare to our communities.
