Today we released our new study that investigates the worldwide market for wireless IoT applications in industrial automation. The installed base of active wireless IoT devices in the industrial automation industry is forecasted to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 14.3 percent from 56.5 million units at the end of 2023 to 110.3 million units by 2028.

At the end of 2023, there were approximately 91.5 million connected digital screens in use worldwide. New market study released today: We have found that the penetration of smart electricity meters in Latin America – defined as the South American countries Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, as well at the Central American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Panama – reached 6.5 percent in 2023. The installed base of smart electricity meters is forecasted to grow at an impressive compound annual growth rate of 20.5 percent during 2023–2029 to reach a total of 42.9 million units at the end of the forecast period, up from around 14.0 million units in 2023.

We spent the past months on a major survey among all the IoT antenna vendors and found that the global cellular IoT antenna market is served by a multitude of players of different sizes, with diverse portfolio strategies and varying degrees of specialisation when it comes to antennas.
